Slowly but surely!

We start this season slightly later than the previous years. It took some time for warm temperatures to arrive at our latitudes. However, the masses of snow still covering alpine pastures may come as an advantage as flowers were and partly still are insulated from frost temperatures. We are hoping for a long lasting and abundant harvesting season. The bee hives are in good condition although the cold snaps in early may came as a challenge especially for breeding queen bees.

We wish all interested beekeepers a successful honey season and lots of pleasure in their engagement for Biodiversity, Sustainability and Cultivating a Natural Biotope. Keep in mind, HONEY, no matter how sweet it is, is just a byproduct.
